Mojo’s Bistro, Vashi

Very few restaurants in the city have a great view & yes I am considering Navi Mumbai to be part of Mumbai. Vashi is blessed to have one – Mojo Bistro. With a great view of suburb and extended parts, this is a new entrant which is making its present felt.

On a sunday afternoon post some heavy showers, a 1.5 hour drive and fancy lift ride later, we reached here for a bloggers table. Located on the 6th floor of Cyber One, Mojo Bistro has indoor and alfresco seating. Enter & a bright LED panel confirms you are at Mojo. The bricked wall, hanging lights & comfortable sofa, chair seating form the inside seating.

We decided to move outside for the afternoon. A series of drinks – cocktails & mock tails started pouring in.

Though we were served 6-7 really great looking mock tails none of them left an impact.

The Apple Martini & Virgin Orange Mojito were kinda the saving grace.

Cheese Corn Balls & Paneer Malai Kebab began our food expedition.

Crumb coated deep fried cheese balls stuffed with corn served with a spicy mayo dip was a promising start to the afternoon. Chunks of absolutely soft paneer topped with a malai sauce is melt-in-mouth good.

Paneer Coriander – Soft, Creamy chunks of paneer marinated in coriander, tossed & cooked with red, yellow n green peppers. Perfectly spiced this was one of the my fav’s

Panko Coated Mushrooms Button mushrooms stuffed with cheese, coated with panko & deep fried – Panko Coasted Mushroom are a must-try for all mushrooms fans.

Nachos served next need a makeover big time. They lacked beans, a good cheese sauce – overall was really disappointing.

While we were deciding the main course, the place starting filling in with people for an afternoon filled with conversation’s, drinks, food & sheesha/hooka. Mojo’s outdoor seating is perfect for a post-office session for chilling.

Being multi-cuisine, our main course included Italian, Indian & Thai.

Thin & Crisp base coated with Pesto Sauce topped with green &black olive and cheese made the Pesto Pizza which was thoroughly enjoyed everyone at the table.

Sham Savera Kofta

Floating in the creamy smooth gravy similar to a makhani gravy with a sweet after taste, the kofta’s were falling apart just at a touch. This is a MUST-TRY with the yummy garlic naans.

Thai Green Curry n Rice With fresh veggies including broccoli, zucchini, mushroom, baby corn, etc this gravy was spicy, flavourful but would want it to be a little thick.

We also tried the Spaghetti Aglio Olio which for me was good but greasy.

Thanks to the cloudy, gloomy yet great weather, the experience at Mojo Bistro was thoroughly enjoyed. The service might disappoint you a little.

Enjoy the comfy seating inside or just plonk yourself on the couches outside, with the array of food & drinks on the menu & sheehsa (if you like it) you are meant to have a great time.
